Laser Application Lab Michigan
PHOTON TECHNOLOGY CENTER - Farmington Hills, MI

The PHOTON TECHNOLOGY CENTER is a laser applications lab for testing and proving advanced manufacturing applications. Our lab includes multiple different laser sources, advanced beam delivery systems with scanning optics and laser weld monitoring, robotics, vision systems and laser marking equipment. Diagnostic systems, including sectioning equipment and microscopes are used for destructive testing and analysis, while our CT scanner is used for non-destructive imaging.

Rapid prototyping is often used to create and test experimental tooling and fixtures to prove feasibility and
measure performance. Photon has multiple 3D printers for creating components for experimentation and complex parts for production systems.

Photon’s experienced engineering staff routinely advises clients as they design their products for manufacturability and compatibility with automation.
